Glorystar obtains invention patent authorization

In September 2019, our company’s invention patent “A non-ionic starch-based adhesive and its preparation method” patent number: ZL 201710762433.4 obtained the invention patent certificate issued by the State Intellectual Property Office.

Glorystar receives another invention patent blessing

With the rapid urbanization process in my country and the vigorous development of the construction industry, the demand for interior and exterior wall putty as the main wall decoration material has also grown rapidly, and green and environmentally friendly putty materials are a hot spot that people are constantly paying attention to.
The binder in putty powder currently on the market is mainly modified starch powder. Modified starch powder is a building decoration material made from natural polymer materials such as starch or cellulose and chemically denatured. Modified starch powder does not contain aldehydes, benzene and other harmful substances, has no special smell, is non-toxic and harmless to the human body, and is a green, degradable and environmentally friendly material. It can be dissolved in cold water, making it easy to use in construction. It also has high viscosity and water retention, which can greatly improve the bonding strength, construction performance and anti-sag properties of putty. It is currently widely used in the field of putty construction. Modified starch is now available on the market Powder is mostly carboxymethyl etherified starch produced by dry method. It has a low degree of substitution, high salt content, unbalanced reaction positions, poor solubility, slow dissolution in cold water, and low viscosity. At the same time, since carboxymethyl starch is an ionic modified starch, its salt tolerance and acid and alkali resistance are poor. In the system salt When the content is high, the viscosity will drop sharply; more fatally, it will react with cement, gypsum and lime calcium to form substances similar to tofu residue, reducing the viscosity and strength of the putty system. This type of ionic adhesive is destined not to be used in putty or mortar based on cement, gypsum and lime calcium. Therefore, it is extremely urgent to develop a high-performance nonionic adhesive suitable for a variety of base materials.
Glorystar has joined forces with South China University of Technology to invent a patent “A non-ionic starch-based adhesive and its preparation method” to make up for the deficiencies in the existing technology. This non-ionic starch-based adhesive can be used in putty or mortar with various base materials such as cement, gypsum, lime calcium and other base materials. It has good cold water solubility, high viscosity and acid, alkali and salt resistance.
According to the relevant testing methods and requirements of the DB44/T1134-2013 “modified starch powder” modified starch powder standard, all performance indicators of the non-ionic starch-based adhesive of the present invention meet the requirements of China’s environmental labeling product certification standards. The process adopted has no waste liquid and waste gas discharge, the process is simple, and the adhesive produced is green, environmentally friendly, non-toxic and pollution-free.
Looking to the future, Glorystar maintains its enterprising and innovative spirit of working hard and moving forward, striving to push the company’s development strategy to a newer stage, and strive to create new situations.
