Recently, a volunteer teacher (Little Sheep) stationed in Misha Township, an impoverished mountainous area in Yunnan, and Li Zhenlin, vice principal of an ethnic primary school, led three student aid volunteers through the mountains at an altitude of 2,749 meters to distribute new uniforms for the 2018 semester to 7 schools.

All the students in Misha Village Central Primary School and the six branches were very excited. Each of them received a set of tailor-made school uniforms as the first gift of the new semester.

Little Sheep, a volunteer teacher, said: “This is my third year. In the first year, I raised money and donated school uniforms from caring people through WeChat Moments. It was the first time that all seven schools in the mountainous area wore uniforms. Later, Mr. Mo said that he would fund it every year in the future. The ethnic minority villages across the mountains and ridges are far apart from each other. There is really poverty here. There are many diseases caused by out-of-school children, left-behind children, left-behind elderly people, children suffering from malnutrition…

In the past three years, I have followed Teacher Li Zhenlin to visit, express condolences, and distribute charity materials to various villages. After connecting with caring people to help students, all the children who have dropped out of school have been recalled to school. We have also successfully assisted more than 70 primary school students, more than ten high school students, and three college students.
