To support a scientific, fair, objective and authoritative assessment, the organisers established an expert advisory panel. On-site review meetings were held in Beijing on 14 January, Shanghai on 17 February, Nanjing on 24 February and Guangzhou on 3 March. The article reports 504 company submissions, online voting, scores from 104 procurement professionals and survey responses from 1,637 procurement professionals. Guangzhou Glorystar Chemicals Co., Ltd. had registered capital of RMB 11 million. Its main product lines are silicone sealants and modified starch powder. The company was one of the drafting organisations for national standards GB 16776 for construction silicone structural sealants and GB/T 14683 for silicone building sealants, and the lead drafter of industry standard JC/T 2316-2015 for interior wall putty additives. At the time of publication, it was among China’s earliest certified manufacturers of construction silicone structural sealants and the country’s largest modified starch powder producer, as well as the only manufacturer in that category certified by four national ministries and commissions. It was also recognised as a National High-Tech Enterprise, a key enterprise under the National Torch Plan and an Outstanding National Private Technology Enterprise.
